Back to Basics in the Kitchen

Therapy Unlimited has added a kitchen experience to the lineup of therapy options!

Patients experiencing traumatic brain injuries or physical issues limiting their abilities to conduct daily activities in the kitchen such as cooking and cleaning now have the ability to work on those skills within the Therapy Unlimited Novi location. Patients can work with an occupational therapist to develop step by step plans including decision making for menu planning and grocery shopping, how to modify processes for cleaning in a safe manner, and how to complete common kitchen related tasks such as cutting & chopping, mixing food, and working around hot surfaces. Our occupational therapists can also advise patients on getting modified items in their homes such as modified cutting boards, self-opening kitchen scissors, adaptive knives and silverware.
